Joa was about to head out of Pallet Town. It was the first day of her pokemon adventure. She had just gotten her Charmander. He was a light shade of orange. She'd tied a bandanna around his neck, she'd seen a lot of charmander and she wanted to be able to tell her's apart. He seemed kinda shy. Charmander had been walking behind her. He wasn't going to go in that filthy pokeball and be carted around all day, no way! Why in the world was he the one to get picked up by THIS trainer. Her clothes were dirty! Her hair was messy. She was as close to a boy as a girl could get. Charmander sighed. He'd probably get all dirty walking around in caves and what-not. His fine hair would get all messy! Back at the lab, he'd been groomed. Now he was with a grungy trainer. Joa looked back at her new partner. She stopped and turned around. "Come here, Charmander." Charmander took a slight step towards Joa. "We're going to go into the grass soon, and the professor told me you don't like to get dirty." Joa picked the young pokemon and put it on her shoulders so he could look over the top of her head and his arms could grasp around her forehead.
