Don't be fooled by her masculine appearance. Due to being a tomboy and her background she took up the boyish look. She keeps her hair short, and wears t-shirts and jeans. It doesn't help that she doesn't have a feminine figure.

Personality: Joa is impulsive, she rarely gives things second thoughts. Due to the fact of always being the 'good child', she became more rebellious. Although reverts back to her state of innocence when someone could get hurt, or police might become involved. She can be quite random at times, its impossible to tell what she'll say next. She cares for her Charmander, which subtly hints she got more of her father in her than her mother. If it can be avoided, she won't battle at all.

Starting Pokemon: Charmander

History/background Story: Joa's story isn't an elaborate, exciting story. She was born and raised on a pokemon farm owned by her father, Ben. Her mother died when Joa was only five. James, her older brother, was never helping out with the Rapidashes, Snubbulls, or the ever so popular Eevees. Instead, he just lazed around with his Granbull. Anyways, Joa took on tough jobs at a young age. Her father needed her after all. She grew up doing farm work. One day, James went off to go to Johto. He didn't call for a year, when he did he informed them he was working at the Safari Zone. When Joa was twelve, she decided that when she was thirteen she'd go out and make something of herself. Thus, she came to Pallet town to get a pokemon and go on an adventure!

Other: Joa has a strong affection for fire types and green pokemon. Her top five favorites are (in no particular order): Celebi, Houndour, Houndoom, Charmander and Rattata. Her favorite color is green. She doesn't like to battle pokemon. She secretly wants to be a breeder.

Joa only has a Charmander. Celebi is just one of the pokemon she likes.
